This notice explains how NOVA and the association that runs it, Finpolar Nuoriso Yhdistys ry, process personal data on the novanuoret.fi website.

What data we process

The site only collects personal data for room bookings, event registrations, membership applications and ideas (see below). If you contact us by email, we use the information in your message only to reply to you.

Room bookings

When you send a room booking request, we process the details you give: name, email address, phone number, purpose and number of people. We use them only to handle the booking and to contact you about it. Only NOVA's admins can see them. The public calendar only shows that a time is booked.

The data is stored with Cloudflare, and booking emails are sent via Resend. Personal data is deleted automatically 12 months after the booking has ended.

Event registrations

When you sign up for an event, we process the details you give: name, age, phone number, email address, any special diet, other information, photo permission and, for under-15s, a guardian's name, phone number and email address. For under-15s we ask the guardian for permission by email and store the time the permission was given. We use them only to organise the event and to contact you about it. We only ask about special diets if food is served.

Only NOVA's admins can see the details. They are deleted automatically three months after the event.

Member register

When you apply for membership of the association, we store your name, date of birth, home municipality, email address and phone number, and for under-15s the guardian's name, phone number, email address and the time permission was given. Finnish law requires associations to keep a member register. The data is used to manage membership and to contact you. When you resign, we delete your data. Rejected and expired applications are deleted after three months.

Ideas

A name, age and email attached to an idea are optional. We only use them in connection with the idea, and ideas are deleted after a year.

Cookies

The site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.

Photos

We only publish photos in which young people can be recognised with their permission. For under-15s, we ask a guardian for permission.
